Our mission at My Mama Says
My Mama Says helps children build essential emotional skills through engaging toys, tools, and activities that make learning about feelings fun, approachable, and meaningful.
Created by Nadine Levitt, an author, curriculum writer, education advocate, mother, and CEO of Nota Bene Entertainment, the approach grew out of her desire to guide her own children through big emotions in a healthy and empowering way.
Inspired by her work in schools, Nadine offered a free school curriculum and has led many workshops across the United States. She believes emotional intelligence is essential to future success and happiness because it forms the building blocks of self awareness, social awareness, self management, responsible decision making, and relationship skills. That is why she set out to make these tools easier for all families to access through a monthly subscription box and free online resources.
The activities are designed to be engaging and practical for real family life. My Mama Says is an ongoing journey. Like watercolor, emotions blend and shape how children experience the world. Each month the subscription explores a new emotion in real world context, offering consistent, bite sized learning that fits daily routines.
We believe in equipping families with tools that turn everyday moments into teachable experiences, helping children express themselves with confidence and creativity. Based in Calabasas, California, we are honored to share this journey nationwide by making emotional learning a regular and enjoyable part of life.
