A note from our founder

Created by Nadine Levitt, an author, curriculum writer, education advocate, mother, and CEO of Nota Bene Entertainment, the approach grew out of her desire to guide her own children through big emotions in a healthy and empowering way.

Inspired by her work in schools, Nadine offered a free school curriculum and has led many workshops across the United States. She believes emotional intelligence is essential to future success and happiness because it forms the building blocks of self awareness, social awareness, self management, responsible decision making, and relationship skills. That is why she set out to make these tools easier for all families to access through a monthly subscription box and free online resources.

Like watercolor, emotions blend and shape how children experience the world.

The activities are designed to be engaging and practical for real family life. My Mama Says is an ongoing journey. Each month the subscription explores a new emotion in real world context, offering consistent, bite sized learning that fits daily routines.

We believe in equipping families with tools that turn everyday moments into teachable experiences, helping children express themselves with confidence and creativity. Based in Calabasas, California, we are honored to share this journey nationwide by making emotional learning a regular and enjoyable part of life.

What you can count on

Our promise to you.

  • Evidence based tools: Every product is grounded in SEL research and educational best practice.

  • Real impact for families: Parents and educators report deeper connection, better conversations, and noticeable emotional growth in their kids.

  • A life long journey: Whether it is a monthly box, a focused kit, or downloadable resources, our mission is to help you build emotional strength into everyday life.

How we built it

Built for the moments that matter most.

Most emotional learning programs stop at awareness. They teach children the words for what they feel and stop short of teaching them what to do next. We built the Emotion Wonderland™ Emotional Strength System to fill that gap. A connected, research backed system that helps children move through real moments with real skill.

01

Built with educators

Every story, tool, and activity is shaped by teachers, therapists, and curriculum experts. We listened to the people who sit beside children in their hardest moments, and we built around what actually helps.

02

Backed by research

Grounded in decades of research on emotional intelligence, child development, and social emotional learning. Not trends. Not slogans. The science of how children build emotional strength over time.

03

Designed for real moments

Tools that work in living rooms, classrooms, calm corners, and car rides. When feelings feel big and answers feel small, every product gives children a path forward they can actually use.

04

One connected system

Twelve emotions. One cohesive journey. Each box, book, and mini kit builds on the next, so children are not just learning isolated skills. They are growing real emotional strength over time.

From the first Little Book to today, our mission has stayed the same. To help children grow into emotionally strong, kind, and confident humans, one feeling at a time.
